Maë's projects showcase activism through art and shine a light on different cultures; something that can be attributed to their Cuban-German roots. Their determination is shaped by their passion for skateboarding, surfing, culture and youth activism. At just 19, Maë helped launch a FLINTA skate collective to bring together gender identities, all the while studying for their A-levels and immersing themselves in film making, volunteering projects, freestyle long-boarding and working at concerts. They are also part of Nike’s “Dance on Boards” initiative where they teach young girls and children to skateboard. Maë can present a distinctive edge to any position behind-the-scenes and they’ll thrive in music, skate and culture related productions.
SLT SPACE is a branch of Studio Levi dedicated to making performance and film sets safer, diverse and more inclusive. Through SLT SPACE, we represent the underrepresented, showcase multidisciplinary artists, amplify diverse voices and create safe spaces in front of and behind the camera.
